I am a female training to enter the police academy. I have to be able to do 26 pushups within 2 minutes to graduate. I could barley do 11 to enter. How can I acheive this goal within 2 1/2 months? How often? Consistency?

Karey, please take a look at http://www.bodyresults.com/E2Pushups-pullups.asp for numerous tips on how to improve your scores on the pushup. I would suggest including several sets of pushups, barbell bench presses, and dumbbell presses 2-3 times a week (as well as working the opposing muscle groups, the lats and rhomboids, in pulling exercises) and include a pushup test, simulating your test environment as closely as you can, every 3 weeks to gauge your progress.
